Product Description TDS stands for "Total Dissolved Solid", which means the total amount of dissolved solids. Total dissolved solids refer to the general term for inorganic salts and organic substances dissolved in water. Its main components include calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium ions, carbonate ions, bicarbonate ions, chloride ions, sulfate ions, nitrate ions, etc. Therefore, a TDS meter is a tester for total dissolved solids. The unit of TDS meter is ppm (i.e. mg/L), and its reading is defined as a proportional value of conductivity, generally around 0.7. The reference temperature for automatic temperature compensation of TDS meters is usually 25°C, and the temperature coefficient is generally 2%/°C.
